VM Counselling Services is a professional therapeutic service and is not a friendship, social relationship, or crisis line.
Youth cannot:
call, text, or message the counselling phone number outside scheduled sessions
contact the counsellor through social media (including following, adding, messaging, or commenting)
send DMs, voice notes, photos, videos, or personal messages outside appointment times
request ongoing support between sessions through informal contact
These boundaries are reviewed at intake with the parent/guardian and youth. Repeated boundary violations may require parent involvement and may result in a change to services.
Counselling is confidential. Youth have a right to privacy within counselling sessions.Confidentiality works differently for youth than for adults.
Parents/guardians may receive general updates (attendance, broad goals, general progress themes, and safety planning). Parents/guardians do not receive detailed session content unless disclosure is required for safety or legal reasons.
Confidentiality may be limited when:
there is a risk of harm to the youth or others
abuse/neglect/exploitation is suspected or disclosed
disclosure is required by law or court order
urgent safety planning is needed
VM Counselling Services does not provide emergency services, 24/7 support, or crisis response. If urgent support is needed:
call 911 for emergencies
access local emergency services
contact appropriate crisis supports available in Saskatchewan
Emergency contact information must be kept current and parents/guardians must be reachable during sessions.
Additional intake requirements apply for children and youth in foster care or Ministry care. Consent must be provided by the assigned caseworker/legal guardian, and billing arrangements must be approved by the Ministry or designated caregiver. Communication and reporting expectations will follow the child’s legal and care plan requirements.
A separate Foster/Ministry Care Intake Package is required and will be provided to the caregiver or caseworker.
To book youth or family services, parents or legal guardians must contact VM Counselling Services by email at mydonicicveronica@gmail.com.
Phone calls, text messages, and social media contact are not accepted for booking youth sessions.
Schools may request consultation or collaboration through email once appropriate consent forms and service agreements are completed.
Youth sessions cannot be booked using the public appointment calendar. All youth bookings must be arranged through the parent/guardian email process.
